Instructors
In Peterlee Martial Arts Club there are two levels of instructor - assistant and full - with both being awarded with rank. After grading to 4th Kyu purple belt, a student becomes an assistant instructor and will spend time teaching beginners and lower grades. All purple and brown belt students are assistant instructors. On successfully grading to 1st dan black belt a student is promoted to full instructor. As a dan grade club members will teach all lower grades and is expected to be competent in a wide range of areas.
